You can count the shaded and unshaded squares for each figure;
A= 15 squares- 2 unshaded = 13 shaded squares
B= 16 squares-4 unshaded = 12 shaded
C= 14 squares-2 unshaded =12 shaded.
So A has greatest shaded area
