Challenge your brain with this tough mathematical riddle.
Solve this if you are brilliant.
One person had a habit of spending money according to dates.
I.e. If date is 19 he was spending Rs.19 and if date is 15, he was spending Rs. 15.
One night he calculated total spending of 5 consecutive days – Monday to Friday and he found that he spent Rs. 63 in 5 days.
Can you identify the dates??

Answer: 28, 29 ,1 ,2,3
The normal approach would be 2 form an equation and then try to solve this but that way we would be ignoring the fact that there can be 2 months involved.
If you form an equation with say x being the first day and increasing 1 rupee daily, you will get;
x + x +1 x + 1 + x + 1 + x + 1 = 5x + 4
5x + 4 = 63
But you wont get a whole number with this equation so you come to a conclusion that there are 2 months involved.
So get the sum of 63, you have to solve by adding up months beginning dates and last date.
Only (29+1), (28 + 2) and 3 will fit in this.
Hence the answer is 28 ,29, 1, 2 & 3.
A variation of this riddle is now doing rounds on WhatsApp, where the sum is 61.
in that case the answer would be: 27, 28, 1, 2 & 3.
