Murder Mystery: Who Killed the Chemical Engineer?

Read the riddle and then put your detective hats on to crack this murder mystery.

A known chemical engineer professor was found murdered at his home this morning. 

The detectives investigated and narrowed it down to six suspects. 

The names of the suspects were as follows;

Frank, Mark, Alex, Nicolas, jonathan and Steve.

The detectives then found a note with the body which had the following numbers: 

28-27-57-16

The detectives arrested the murderer on finding this note. 

Who was the killer?

  1. The murderer/killer is already a known chemical engineer. So the answer is in the question itself.
