Answer:

Let us consider the following;

Alan = a;

Becky = b &

Claire = c.

As per the given information we can write the following;

(a + b + c) / 3 = 45

a = 135 – (b + c) —- (1)

Average of a and b :-

(a + b) / 2 = 40

a + b = 40 x 2

a + b = 80—-(2)

Adding b on both sides of (1) we get;

a + b = 135 -(b + c) + b—-(3)

Equating  (2) and (3) we get;

135 – b – c + b = 80

135 – 80 = c

c = 55

Average of b and c :-

(b + c) / 2 = 43
b + c = 43*2
b = 86 – c
b = 86 – 55

b = 31

So we answer;

i.e. Becky’s weight = 31 Kgs
