Sharpen your logical skills with this riddle.
There is a family of six people A, B, C, D, E & F.
F and C are brother and sister.
B is the brother of E’s husband.
D is the father of A and grandfather of F.
How many male members are there in this family?
Answer:
We can roughly draw a family tree from the statements given.
D is the father of A and grandfather of F.
So, A is the parent of F.
C and F are siblings and are children of A.
B is the brother of E’s husband.
Since there can be only one mother as C & F are children and D is the father and B is the brother.
A and E have to be married.
So A is also a male.
So D, A, B and F are the males in the family.
Answer = 4
