The logic followed by the equations is as follows;

The last 2 digits xx 2 – the first digit

So in first equation;

1 2 3 = 23 x 2 – 1 = 46 – 1 = 45;

Similarly others would be;

2 3 3 = 33 x 2 – 2 = 66 – 2 = 64

3 2 1 = 21 x 2 – 3 = 42 – 3 = 39;

8 4 0 = 40 x 2 – 8 = 80 – 8 = 72

Therefore we can find the last number as;

1 1 1 = 11 x 2 – 1 = 22 – 1 = 21

Answer = 21.
