The area of its top is 240 square units, the area of the front is 300 square units and the area of the end is 180 square units.

Answer:

From the given information we know the areas of 3 sides of the rectangular box.

Let us consider;

Length = L,

Breath = B &

Height = H

Now we know the area of rectangle is length x breath.

So we can write,

L x B = 240 ….(a)


L x H = 300….(b)

B * H = 180….(c)

 

Let us multiply these the three equations (a), (b) and (c);

(L x B) (L x H) (B x H) = 240 x 300 x 180

L^2 x B ^2 x H^2 = 12960000

(L x B x H)^2 = 12960000

L x B x H= 3600

 

Now we know that P*Q = 240

From (a) we can write;

240 x H = 3600

Thus H = 3600/240 = 15.

Similarly we can find the values of L and B;

Therefore we get

L = 20 units

B = 12 units and

H = 15 units
