8 – 1 = 63
6 -16 = 32
9 – 9 = 78
3 – 9 = 6
3 – 81 = ?

Answer to find the number in the series is;
If you gaze through the numbers you will see that the numbers on the right are perfect squares. So this problem has to do something with square and square roots.
To get the results you have to square the first number and subtract it with the square root of the nest number.
Example:
5^2 = 25
Square root of 4 = 2
So 25 – 2 = 23
Similarly we get the other number;
64 – 1 = 63;
36 – 4 = 32;
81 – 3 – 78;
9 – 3 = 6;
Hence in the last equation we have square of 3 minus square root of 81;
i.e 9 – 9 = 0
Hence the answer is “0”
